In the end, our multi-armed friend here didn’t bring me much closer to experiencing what it is like to be an octopus. Yet I would feel bad for him if his frail unglazed body would break on the way home, so I decided to treat him on a glass coating. Nice and shine.

I used two types of glaze: a blue base and a pink touch for the suckers. I waived the octopus goodbye with a prayer as he went into the oven, as I took a slight risk by using different types of glaze: when they get mixed, the glaze may crack during the baking process. Fortunately he emerged out of the oven fully intact!
